IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Actor and Director Jeffrey Bassett
Jeffrey first stepped onstage in 1973 as the child lead Winthrop Paroo in “The Music Man.” Since then he has taken part in over 50 shows, mostly musicals, at over 20 different theaters. Jeffrey’s other passion is the law. He’s been in the field since 1985 and took the bench as a judge in Kitsap County in 2016 by gubernatorial appointment. He is a family man, married for 16 years to Michael his partner for 28, and is father to three boys. Jeffrey most recently appeared onstage for Paradise Theater’s “Annie” where he returned to his role as Daddy Warbucks. Along with acting, he has also worked as a stage manager, set designer and builder, as an assistant director, and has fully directed 10 plays, many for Bremerton Community Theater, where in 2018 he took a chance on Greg Heilman and Matt Haver, casting them as brothers, in Agatha Christie’s “Appointment With Death.”

Trailer: Death on the Nile
2 oz of Scotch
1 oz of sweet vermouth
1 oz of Amaretto (or almond liqueur)
1 dash of Triple Sec
2 drop of orange bitters
Add the Scotch, Vermouth, and Amaretto, then add a dash of Triple sec and a drop or two of the bitters. Swirl together and optionally serve with a large ice ball or whisky rock.
