IN THE NEWS: United States v. Paramount / Disney's Mulan Release

After nearly three quarters of a century being the quiet influence on how Hollywood operated, the Paramount Consent Decrees are officially over. On Friday, a New York federal judge granted a motion by the U.S. Department of Justice to terminate the movie industry's long-lasting licensing rules. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)

What does this mean for the future of moviemaking, theaters as we know them, and streaming services?  Will the recent direct-to-consumer release of Mulan become the norm?  And what about that $30 viewing fee?
